I got a sneak peak at the new track... but I don't see the banked turn. It looks like they bought more room by switching to these linked barriers from the tire barriers.

It's a longer course... I hope that doesn't mean it's narrow like GKR which translates to almost no passing. Then again, REAL passing only happens at turn 4 and 7

I can't wait to go!

that looks really wide compared to GKR from the pic that one turn looks like its 3 1/2 karts wide. I heard the bank turn got delayed theres an engineer coming down to take care of it.

The pic looks like it's still the summer track:

But it looks like they narrowed out areas of the track where no passing could take place anyways, or optimized it.

For example, in the straight between 2 and 3, there was a lot of wasted track width when you really only needed a 2+ kart width. While at the same time, the runout of turn 3 (enter turn 4) is still huge wide (where a lot of passing takes place; or drifting...)

I'm pretty exited. LMK is the place I frequent most (location, track allows passing, easy reservation for even just single drivers, friendly staff) So I'm looking forward to it. And it looks that all the racing lines have changed as a result of this mod, even though the basic track configuration has not. Awesome!

I know I'm probably alone here, but I don't dig indoor karting too much...

1. Tracks are boring after a while

2. karts kind suck

3. waaaay too expensive. Like, WAAAAY too expensive.

i dont mind the karts being slow, as long as the other karts are equally as slow... thats why i dont mind going to Malibu GP off 101 using their slow karts since they have the best track in the bay.

Anyone try those Scandia minigolf/kart places? the track has elevation, and looks fun...by Fairfield off the freeway i always see it.

Yeah, indoor places are way to expensive. I've been to Dixon for a full day for FREE in a 125cc TAG kart. And a full day at Davis for 15 bucks...

Anyone here had a chance to drive the newly configured track yet?
I am curious to see what is your opinion on the new track.

went last week, the track is extra slick, no traction at all, the only reason i was faster than my group was cause i have an extra hundred pounds on most of them to put down traction, haha... weight reduction ftl
