about F'n time...until now, the only cool things at Kart places was a wooden hill haha. Well everyone knows Malibu GP has the best track...but these indoor places need more character to their tracks, like curbing...how hard is it to mix a bag of cement and add red and white stripes?

Lemans outdoor was pretty awesome, but i hear they dont run it anymore (for super mini moto class)

Is the bank made out of wood?

once you get your indoor karting fix, you guys have to come out and try REAL karting at the Jim Russell kart track at infineon.. rent a real race kart with 4x the power and 1.5x the grip.

there are some shops that have rental karts and they provide the equipment too... its pretty fun stuff... you'll learn more doing outdoor karting than you will doing trackdays in your car.

I haven't been there in a while, since the layout never seemed to change. I'll have to go by and try out the new track.

Davis's outdoor kart track is actually really fun. It's a little bumpy (they are repaving soon) but it actually has some natural elevation that makes it different then tracks like Infineon.

pics!

and im gonna hit up some kart tracks this summer, except it will be on my 2 wheeled supermoto 120cc kart since i dont wanna buy a real kart.

I might make one out of my friends. 175 two stroke engine lying around next to a single speed slow *** kart.

How are kart tracks and custom karts? im guessing infineon is the only place who will give you crap for a home made kart.

Any real kart track will not allow a home made kart.

Exactly.

Show up at Infineon (or really anywhere else people run with NorCal Karters) in a homemade kart and people will be like

I need to check that out. How do you get started? I have been to all the indoor tracks a few times and I used to race briggs meth karts on hardpack down near Fresno back in the day. Tulare County Kart Club woop woop. Never driven a shifter kart, but really want to try. After the last two cars have not made it onto a road course and my 240Z is gonna take a while to get ready, karts would be awesome.
