There is good in Oakland. Generations of cultured, creative and educated people that keep the city from completely going over the edge. And I am not just talking about the Oakland Hills..these are people living in the heart of the city, working blue collar jobs etc.
How many people were looting last night, 20, 30, 40, 100. What is this, like 0.02% of the population. This minority, viewed by the country at large as the majority, will always make it difficult for anything good to really take hold.
Just my 2 cents. I cant stand it when people think in absolutes. And WTF is with comments like "i hope that Oakland and surrounding areas burn the the ground". F that.
