Laguna Seca 1961

Thought I'd share for those who appreciate Laguna Seca's history:

A magazine i found. 1961, Sports Car Graphic 50 cents. Obviously before Americans got sue-happy "wahhh your race car hit me! WAHHHH"

Connecting turn 2 to uphill 5, James Dean's Spyder was here. Yet Laguna Seca carelessly paves over it

I want to get a hold of these!

In this, you can see were the track passes turn two onto the uphill. so cool.

ANd here is the "look inside" link from Amazon which has a ton of cool pics.

Yeah my pops has loads of photos from the late 60's to mid-late 70's from Laguna. He used to support a couple guys who had a pair of 289 Cobras they raced down there constantly, and has albums of paddock photos and some track pics of the Cobras as well as a couple of his Ferraris and such. One in particular - a '67 330GTC, is silver and just so awesome - but he said as nice as it was his favorite car on the track was his Datsun 510. I'll see if he can scan some of them - and I think I might have a couple kicking about as well.

Good god man it's Laguna Seca. Yes it's important. Who's car is that, and why does it have Hawaii Safety Check stickers on it?

Yeah, Track day pricing is awesome. It costs the same to track day any track in CA once gas is added up! I've always contemplated whether or not Laguna Seca should be my first track day. Some walls seem pretty close! haha.

Those people are called F***s. Same story with Hollister Hills OHV park. It's been there for decades, yet people move in and complain about dirtbike echos wahhhhhh

Historics would be cool to see, even though half of them are yupsters driving their winning auction bid around the track at 30 mph haha.

You couldn't give me all the classic cars there, I'd rather go back in time and race the old track!

Riverside raceway looked awesome too.

I'd definitely be on the Datsun race team if i had to pick haha.
