Talking KRINKOV's new sigline...

An infinite number of mathematicians walk into a bar. The first one orders a beer. The second orders half a beer. The third, a quarter of a beer. The bartender says "You're all idiots", and pours two beers.
as a math geek, i had to chuckle...

(although i think the correct answer is infinity or no limit)

does that mean the 100th guy would have like a drop, so the bartender just wanted to get it over with? i kinda had to read it a few times :|

they would eventually have to split beer molecules, but the sum of the 1st through infinite mathematicians beers would continue to approach 2 beers, but would never exceed 2 beers.

The thing is, the amount of beer would never equal 2 full beers - it would end up being a number infinitesimally less than 2 full beers, albeit constantly approaching it. By the 5th or 6th guy, the bartender would have to start doling out beer with an eyedropper. The 10th guy or so would just be inhaling beer vapors. Ridiculous.

I can imagine you did, especially since you got that one wrong!

I hereby submit that you are no longer worthy of full math geek standing, and should re-classified as an "associate" math geek until you prove you have the right stuff!!

I think that I must need beer to understand this, so I will consume consecutive 23oz glasses of Racer 5 until it becomes clear.
