Know about Home Theater Systems (projector + screen)
I'm installing a Projector + electronic projector screen in my bedroom for movie watching only. Does anyone know what a suitable lm would be for a distance of only 12 feet in an extremely dark room? Any recommendations on projectors/screens?
I don't need anything rediculous.... just functional at about 48-60 inches (although 80 would be nice)
Any experts out there?

If you are planning on a rear projection you want DLP or one of the similar technologies using an LCD projector.
The best bet is to go down and look at them for yourself. You'll notice the DLP TVs have a much better viewing angle, much better contrast, and better picture all around. Not going DLP can save you some cash if you can tolerate a subpar picture.

oh... not terribly sure what you're talking about... "dlp" and what not....i'm not terribly versed in this area
I'm not looking for a projection tv... i'm looking to get a projector screen, controlled by a wireless remote, that comes down my far wall. From the other wall I want to have a projector that will omit video coming from a dvd player.

InFocus is top of the line. The X1 and X2 are multipurpose and probably what you are looking for. You can get the projectors for about 800 of the internet and it will come with a screen for about a grand off ebay.
