Knock Knock...Who's there?
cheap costco gas!
filled up at costco in rohnert park and now the car is running like ****. weird thing is i have filled up at the costco in richmond a few times intermittently, and while it's been hit or miss, (sometimes just fine, other times noticed slight decrease in performance) it never caused engine knock.
this is however, the first time i've filled up at costco back-to-back. last week i did it in richmond with no noticeable power loss, so i figured i would do it again as i was coming back from sonoma. now it's knock-knock-knocking on heavens door! ugh, now off to buy some octane boost in the morning and back to chevron/76...
anyone fill up at their neighborhood costco? were your results any different?

The problem with costco is you do not know what gas you are buying.
They purchase surplus gas from whatever refinery has it the cheapest. Sometimes you might be getting the same gas you would get at 76 or Chevron, the next day/week it could be the lucky go-and-gas mart down the street.
I got yelled at for using it a long time ago, stay far away from Costco as you can for gas if you care about performance.
