Police: Armed Boy Takes Classmate's Pokemon Cards
REDWOOD CITY (AP) ―
A 10-year-old boy was sent to juvenile hall after holding a foam pellet gun to a classmate's head and robbing him of his Pokemon trading cards.
No one was injured in yesterday's incident.
Redwood City police say the fourth-grader brought an Airsoft gun to Roosevelt Elementary School and held it to a 6-year-old's forehead, demanding that the younger child give up the trading cards.
The fourth-grader has been suspended, school officials are considering whether to expel him.

Oooh.. suspend him... ha.. he'll consider that a REWARD. Our system is so backwards it's ridiculous. Kid probably needed his *** paddled years ago but due to various different reasons, any sort of actual discipline these days is either illegal, taboo or you can't do it public even as a parent. Nevermind being a teacher who has to be afraid for their career for even looking at a kid wrong.
Oh well.. I could rant on this for way too long. Most parents these days are chumps, and kids know this and use it to their every advantage. No wonder quality teachers are so hard to find.. who in their right mind would WANT to do that?

tsk.tsk....the parents should go to jail for buying that kid the air gun. why would you buy your 9 yrs old kid a airsoft gun. I am sure it was something he saw on T.V. and copied it. the kid would not learn anything if he goes to juvie, he's just a kid. if he was 12 and older he would be scared sh**less.

Good, I'm not the only one who's nerdy enough to realize that Pokémon cards are played the hell out. Yugioh even. People still play this crap? I had friends who went through the Yugioh to Magic cards phase and saw it die a slow death within a two year span.

I'm amazed as to how easily a 10 year old was able to bring the gun to school, even though it was fake. Still if it had been real I pretty sure it would have been just as easy.

Expel, i knew not to bring anything to school shaped like any weapon since 1st grade, even our action figures werent allowed to have their guns or weapons and they were super tiny.
