dear ken block, i never liked you anyway. just the engine, exhaust and tires on the car you drove during those pointless commercials. sincerely, a fan of big sopping breasts.

+1 for the fiesta, I saw what it did when I was at the X-Games. Rumor from Ford people we spoke to at SF Auto Show is 2013 the AWD Turbo version will come to the US. I have no doubt Block will crash out like he did in GB in 07 but, I wish him luck.

its simple. the impreza has gotten larger and heavier.
the Fiesta has proven itself to be an incredibly capable car - easily surpassing the Citreon C4, Ford Focus, Skoda Fabia, etc, etc, etc... video proof is in European RallyCross, where all the cars are running with 550hp. the Fiesta absolutely dominates.
to quote a person far more brilliant than myself: its not about power, its about power to weight.
i, just like many others on here, am not a fan of 99.99999999% of american cars. when the AWD Turbo Fiesta hits our shores, i will gladly be in line to get one - drive by wire throttle or not.
but, i'm sure that many subaru owners will be pissed at ken block anyways. but, in the end, he is a business man and he is just going with the product with he thinks will grant him more exposure, more wins and more money.
and, while the STi is a nice grocery getter, its just too damned heavy to be real competition for a car of the likes of the Fiesta.
subaru has let time poison the Impreza line horribly. drop it to roughly 3000lbs, put the turbo ej20 under the hood, and keep the engine around 275hp.
beyond that, the styling of the newer Impreza is terrible. subaru really should go back to a style SOMEWHAT similar to the GC.
