My installation how-to for the Evo won't help you too much, but I will say that I've been extremely happy with my Kartboy shortshifter. I ran it in my 2003 Evo 8 and yanked it out when I traded it in for my 2005 Evo 8. Just the short drive to the dealer without the SS was a great reminder why I ditched the stock one. It's the first mod I recommended to all my friends who bought Evo's over the years.

I agree. I installed the Kartboy last night, and after a day of driving.. I think I will go back to stock. I just really don't like the **** height, its very uncomfortable to reach. I also had the bushings and the rear bushing mount which were never installed. I expect I will advertise them tomorrow once I uninstall that shifter. The shift distance and feel was excellent, I just don't like the height.
