well just as i suspected, plot sucked goat *****, but the action scenes were pretty well done, er maybe they were a little overdone... ok really overdone... but anyways... it was ok... i can definatly tell it was targeted at 15 year olds...

was really unfortunate taht they had to bring such a beautiful car as a skyline over to the US and do... do ...that... to it...

haven't seen the movie yet, but read that they disconected the front drive to make the skyline rear only for better stunts

Probly gonna see it this weekend.

ash ...

this is just an add on, they don't really have to do anything to make the skyline a RWD, because they do have a version that runs RWD, not all skylines are AWD.

That R34 Skyline is Craig Lieberman's. It's a GTR, not a GTS-T (RWD). So I do believe the rumor is true about them modifying the electronics to be RWD only. Isn't the car primarily RWD until the front wheels kick in? I forgot the technical aspects of the Skyline GTR's ALTESSA (sp?) system.

sorry for my false information about the R34, still thinking about the skyline 25 GT-T, it the same style as the R34. because that one does run RWD.

anyway, the GTR does had a system call ATTESSA E-TS (electric control torque split 4WD), and the GTR V.Spec ll had one call ATTESSA E-TS PRO (active LSD controlled 4WD).

Yeah heard that they took a GT-R R34 and converted it into a RWD to make some drifts scenes. Figures a movie like that would waste cash like that. I feel bad for that Skyline and what is up witht that cheesy paint job? Racing Stripes? Maybe on Viper or a Shelby Cobra... What are they trying to do? Get Nascar in on this? Ok I guess it sounds like im venting but everytime I see the commercial I feel embarassed for the car and movie.

Thanks Keisatsu for taking one for the team and reassuring what intelligence level this movie was going to be geared towards

yup they really did destroy that skyline like that. check out this months ssc for the full article. They tested a bunch of the cars from the movie and I believe they are all slower than stock form. soo very sad...

I actually heard some cars were 500hp. However, I would believe it if they were slower. The first movie had the 1/4 mile run (you know the one that lasted about 5 minutes ) and I think they filmed that at like 15 mph. They really dont need fast cars for the movie.

Sport Compact Car has a review of the actual cars used in the movie and talks about some of the stunts and how many cars they went through in the movie, HP ratings, handling comparo's, etc etc etc.

It's a good read for anyone interested in the behind the scenes of 2f2f
