^ you don't need really need cams...or do you have a sti? cause you can get well over 300whp with the stock wrx cams.

your friend's gonna need that cat.... especially if they know what they are looking for.

when i went through this silliness last year for my 17 y/o toyota truck, i learned a few things:

1. get an oil change. before i got this, the truck was barely driven and it has been a year since i got it changed... so numbers that failed was like 130 with a max of 120.

after the oil change, it dropped down under 100. the guy was very surprised.

2. run the engine to NORMAL operating temp.

3. dont be obvious when you are missing parts... duh...

4. if you have a CEL, fix the dang thing. besides the oil change, i had a CEL that required a new O2 sensor... which was like 17 years old... doh...

^ if you are on stock turbo you will. You can run a fmic with a oem stock turbo, go to the dmv web page and look into the turbo car part and you will find it.

Just to throw it out there I passed with a Perrin catted downpipe and full 3'' the rest of the way on my protuned AP map along with a few other goodies.

the size of the 34 does not look that big, and it is kinda a stock turbo lol. I think you will be fine.

hmmmmm that means i will pass the smog test when i get it done .... not bad at all will put my downpipe on it before.
