I've always liked RS*R's black mag exhaust since the mid 90's when they were the sh*t on Hondas. They weren't huge and loud like those Sebring, HKS Super Draggers, or Apex'i Dunk mufflers. LOL

I just took down my parts to S&S Autoconcepts...

Well supposedly my RS*R Exmag CBE and Titek DP Do not fit with each other. They say that they have to cut off the taper from my small pipe and weld a 3" Flange onto it so it can mate with the Titek Catted DP.

What do you guys think? I am going to go back down to S&S Tonight and get the TBE put onto my car, but I am curious about the whole mating situation.

Well I just got my exhaust on and it is hottttt!!!

Couple questions

1. Is it normal for the exhaust to be smelling even though your DP is catted?
2. Is it normal for the CEL Light to come on?
and 3. It feels like I lost the "Boxer Rumble". I mean the rumble is coming from the exhaust but the car isn't shaking like it used to.

exhausts always smell.
you might need a CEL fix.
i dont think you lost the boxer rumble, you might just have a really quiet exhaust. equal length headers sort of kills the boxer rumble sound though

Would any aftermarket catted downpipe pass California smog emmisions? Also if I were to just get a Rsr Exmag catback with the stock downpipe on my WRX, would the boxer rumble be more noticable over the stock catback??
