Jotul wood burning stove #8 anyone have one?

I broke the glass in my Jotul #8 wood burning stove. I was wondering if anyone had the same one and would like to measure the glass for me. I was just going to order one but it is $125. If I can find the dimensions I can get a piece cut for $50. I would just go measure the door but it is at my cabin at tahoe and it would cost that much in fuel to drive there.

Its a long shot I know but $ saved is $ earned.

There should be a shop up in tahoe that does installation of those bad boys. I'd call them. They'll know.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have the manual and jotul dealers can only order a new one for $125 . None of the dealers have one in stock, it is from the 70's. I was hoping I could trace one and have a piece cut. Thanks for the PDF link though. Not sure if I should drive back up and trace it or just order one from the factory. If I can find someone up there to cut it sweet now I have an excuse to go back up.

Grr why did I not just trace it when I was there! My Uncle is actually a Jotul dealer, he has a glass guy that can do it for $50 but we don't know the shape. Guess I will have to bite the bullet and get it from the factory.

Or you can just wait... no one is gonna be starting any fires for a while. Wait until you plan on heading up there again and trace it. Give it to your glass guy.

Not gonna be too cold up there from here on out.

Or can your uncle trace one for you?

No dealers have one to trace as it was made in the 70's.

It is a family cabin and I have over 9 aunts and uncles that use the place. I just don't want to hear anyone itching so I want to get it done quick. Guess I just buy the factory one and head up this weekend.
