Yo, if you need someone right away, I need a job. I know everyone and organize things well, as you know. I'm trying to become a cop, but really need something before that happens (wont happen for a while).

Planning to be a cop? That would require Bruce to be super good in work environment. Because he'll end up needing lots-lots of positive recommendations from the work place once he applies to PD. PD does one of thoughest background checks and in-person interviews with the applicant's current/past co-workers about the applicant's qualities.

What ever happened to the last job opening you guys posted?? I emailed you my resume w/ no response. Also I called in to find out about it and was told all the emails for the position would be responed to in time, but I never heard anything back. I understand if the position got filled by someone else but at least notify others who were seriously interested in the position.

Well, you suceeded in being one anyway...if he took them seriously, took the time to follow up, and was told that they'd get back to him with at least an email, wouldn't it make sense that they would do that? Or at least post a message in the thread thanking all of those who took the time to send resumes, call in, and show interest in their job?

I'm not speaking for anyone at the shop either. Just life experience.

I'm not butthurt about anything. What I was getting at is it would have been more professional to at least reply back saying if the position was filled or not, thats all I was looking for..... or post a message in the last thread like Roo stated.

yes... it would make sense that they would do wat they say.... but i don't see what a big deal about someone not reply to your email if they are not interested... or the job opening is not avail anymore.... but that's just how i see it...

i've apply to jobs before and they said they'll get back to me... but they never did......

just like you said... life experience... live and learn....

since they haven't reply to you ... send them another email or call them ... or drive down to the shop and ask them.......

since that place or the person that you speak to are not being professional... why would you want to work there anyways ?????

so everytime if gruppe-s post up a hiring thread... you gonna be like... hey... you *******s never reply to me email ???

Look, I dont even care anymore youre not going anywhere with this. I did go by the shop and I was told basically the same thing that I was over the phone. I was just stating my opinion on how I thought it should be handled.

try applying for Berkely PD, they dont care about your backround. As a matter of fact they just changed the rules to becoming a cop in Berkely and there even more wide open.

One thing i do have to say...

Last month i put some ads out to hire on someone for my shop...
Turns out I had about 10 faxed in resumes
Maybe 45+ phone calls
10-13 interviews.

There is no way in hell i could of gotten back to everybody...i tried mind you.

Small businesses are hard to run,...more so when they are busy ones.
