Short answer : that's normal.
Longer : you can play with the dampening settings some and remove some of the bounciness. That said, those suckers are stiff no matter how you look at it and are gonna be a bit "bouncy" no matter what settings......especially on Bay Area roads
I used to have them, swapped with another guy for an STI V7 setup with MRT Caster/Camber plates. He got better handling (I did give up some compared to the coilovers), I got handling that is still miles better than stock AND a decent ride. Since he is going hardcore autocross with the car (and I am looking to campaign my 96 Impala SS in 2005....the WRX is my commuter and daily driver), we were both happy with the swap. He managed to PAX #1 in an event with the coilovers, so obviously they did something right

yea check and see what dampening settings you are running. Also did you buy them new or used? Check and see how much preload is on the spring by adjusting the top collars. The JIC's come with stiff springs so they could be set up perfect and thats just how they ride. Either get used to it or go for a different setup that is more street friendly.

thanks for the replys!! that's also what i've concluded as well. the ones i have ,has a deal like a bicycle air valve on top. how do you figure out that thing or fill it up if that's what it's for. also what's a good price to sell these things for? the ride is getting to the point that everytime somebody rides in the ride they say it feels like a popcorn popper. i 've used them for around 1200 miles, so if anybody's interested hit me up. in the twisties these things can't be beat. i really like these things but i have to keep it cool for my occupants.

If they are FLT-A2's the adjustment is made at the bottum of the coilovers. They are 15 way adjustable and there is an arrow showing which way is stiffer or softer. I think they usually go for around $1,000-$1400 depending on the condition that they are in.
