jdm hid sti projectors
For those who are running 02-03's with jdm hid/non hid sti projectors, where/who did you send your lights to convert them to LHD? I know lightwerkz is an option, but they are so damn expensive it's almost like buying another headlight.
Another question, if I get the jdm sti projectors retrofitted with usdm tsx/s2k projectors, will they have to be converted to LHD from RHD? I don't know much about retrofitting and was wondering if the LHD/RHD shields are on the projector themselves, or part of the headlight assembly.
Thanks!

The beam pattern is determined by the shield on the actual projectors. So if you were to buy a different set of projectors (like the TSX or S2K projectors) you just need to make sure they come from a USDM car and then you can have them swapped in or do the work yourself.
Another option that I found out about after I had my units sent in to be converted is replacement of the actual shield on the projectors.

The above link is an option for you that still requires the unit to be opened up, but all you are doing is removing the RHD shield and replacing with a LHD shield for each unit so that the beam pattern is correct while still using the stock projectors.

nice, actually the cheapest way was the way I did it, though the shields were slightly different in my no hid ones but the idea is the same. I baked em open, pulled the shields, ground any parts I needed to down, built up the spots higher where i needed to with epoxy putty, let them harden, ground and filed into the right shape for LHD, painted em grey or black (can't remember which) and reinstalled. But those shields off ebay look like a great option.
