The Iphone looks cool.
It's a state of the art MP3 player that should sync wirelessly to a host of new Ipod/Iphone products to follow. Imagine getting into your car and your phone seamlessly syncing with it so you can pump the music and phone calls through the car stereo system. It automatically connects with open wi-fi allowing high speed web surfing with a big high tech touch screen. The thing is just designed to make everything easy and automatic. Granted it isn't everything and the kitchen sink but it's "just enough" and solid performer (hopefully). It does 3 things really well. Phone, Music player, web browser.
Cons: NO 3 G.
This is the sole reason why I probably won't buy one. I really need a new phone. I don't have an MP3 player. And I'd really like to be able to surf the web, send/receive emails, and watch movies.
Yes there are other devices that do this, with 3G, but they don't have that massive screen, or that cool *** design. What the "f" am I going to do?

Yup.
Yea, the 3rd party app thing would be nice. Although I think Apple will supply most things that people really want...or at least they have the means to. If they do it or not is another story.
I forgot to mention one thing that sort of goes along with the 3G issue. Video conferencing. It's the next hot thing to come and it's right around the corner. But it's only going to work on 3G. The Iphone can't do it.
I think I just talked myself out of getting the Iphone.

Yes, it will be.
This is the saving grace. I expected data and call plans to run very high. $60 for 450 minutes and unlimited data meets my needs and budget.
Hurry up and release version 2.

people are crazy, some are selling their time for $500 to tand in the line. Who would spend $1000 on a phone. i would rahter wait for 1 year and then get the phone when all issues are hashed out and new features are released.
