Installing stuff in my garadge all day this Friday 12/5.
Going to be doing the dreaded uppipe install, (gunna do the downpipe at the same time) at my house in Milpitas this Friday. It's my first attempt at it, so it should be pretty interesting.
Saw it done at the installfest last month and it took a long *** time... I'll probobly get started at 9:30 or 10am and give myself plenty of time to screw up. If anyone wants to lend a hand/wrench or just yell at me when I eff things up PM me for directions.

i'm not free this friday since im going to tahoe but its really not a hard install. It just takes time because theres so many bolts to take off just to get to the uppipe. Review the perrin/vishnu instructions and maybe even print them out to have with you while your working on the car. In the last two weeks i've done 2 uppipe/downpipe installs for some people and it's really easy. Only complication i've had was getting the o2 sensor out because the manifold heatshield gets in the way.

Yeah. The o2 sensor is a biatch . Get over to Napa Auto parts & pick up an o2 sensor socket. they are only 10 bucks. It'll help a lot. Oh yeah, also pick up some liquid wrench to soak all of those heat stressed exhaust bolts. Good luck, If you need a hand over the phone feel free to give a call. Leter, vince...(707) 280-8090

AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH yes the instructions say that an O2 sensor wrench is optional...NO it is mandatory...me and my friend spent 2 hours on the sensor on his eclipse before we gave up, got a socket, and got it out in 10 seconds!

edgar,
hmm, never heard of that. We have removed plenty of o2 sensors with liquid wrench, never a problem.
The o2 sensors will come out easily as long as you have an open-ended wrench thats the correct size. You don't need the o2 wrench, sometimes its actually harder to use because of the socket.
All the o2 sensors are important in the car, regardless front or rear, I think you were referring to the EGT sensor thats in the uppipe. And yes, plugging that up and doing the resistor fix will save you headaches in the future...
Hit me up if you need help, I'll be at work, but might be able to offer some assistant over the phone or aim.
let me know
