Looks clean! Those pins are nice - don't stick up like the usual ones.

No hood pins with carbon fiber can be bad for your health....with the typical fitment issues and the chances of air grabbing the hood and popping it, there is a higher chance of the mounting point for the catch on the CF hood to give and your hood fly up. Pretty much the reason why most people with CF hoods use pins is to ensure they continue to have CF hoods.

I like the look of the hood pins you have on there...less noticable.

They would stick out of the hood and look wierd but I wonder if you could adapt them into the current hood pins maybe..

But even still I like your current set-up. Did you do it yourself? Did you do all the cutting?

I had Lic put on the hood and line up the hood to the car and the car to the hood.
after seeing what they did i wish i had done it. it was quite easy... however im glad I had them install the light they had to take the bumpre off to get to one of the rear bolts to the light.
I consulted with my dad about the hood pins and cutting. He does yacht repair and deals with fiber glass and carbon fiber all the time. but yeah I see how it gets done and i could do it again if i had to. and I would probably change a few things if i did it again.

is this the car that was backed into by a Blazer that smashed the front headlight and dented the hood?

not a fan of unpainted carbon fiber hoods on street cars, but the flush mount hood pins look way cleaner than the traditional type.

one thing tho........can't thieves just remove the allen bolt fastening hardware for the pins and open up the hood??

i was backed into by a 97 gmc sierra pickup and yes smashed the headlight and killed the hood. however i think there where 2 others that got backed into as well around the same time i did.
and about the non locking hoodpins my hood latch is still in tacked. the pins keep the hood from worble at higher speeds.
