Subifest this year and BAM for me. That's it. The other event looks like it has a cool spot but i don't see myself driving down to LA twice this year for a car show. Plus not many people go to it from up here.

Always have attended BAM - not any of the others - I'm a NorCal local

The spill-over parking at Grant Ranch "fractures" and separates the group
Need to have a central gathering area - like Burning Man
And a sacrificial Subaru we set on fire!!!

I liked the alameda air base location.. away from city streets and it was sort of low key

Same here, I've been to 3 Subiefests, 2 BAMs and always had fun.
Me and my friends don't go there just because of show, drive there is always fun and we usually chill down there too. We usually leave one day before show and get back home 2 days after. Road trip/party/Subiefest/party/road trip.
This year Subiefest will be 1 month earlier (Sept.14th) at new location (old California Speedway) YAY! Can't wait. I got already 6 cars rolling in my group.

For the shirt situation it seems like that has happened previously as well where there seemed to be a shortage. Is it something that can be prevented by doing a Name Sheet that once you go to snag the shirt your name is checked off (or more ideally it is listed on a computer and shows that the recipient has received their shirt/hoodie/whatever)?

If not that was it an issue with the vendor getting all the shirts and stuff made for the event or some other type of issue?

We had a list. The problem wasa a missing box of gear.

As much as hammy was fun, no cell service might prevent some vendors from coming out, and it didn't help with the shirt situation either

As far as subiefest and sss, I'm just not one to drive to socal for a car show

I have only gone to BAM only because of time frames. I have wanted to go to SSS and Subiefest but now with being on e85 it doesnt make it that much easier. Im always willing to drive around the bay area for bam so location should be a big factor. I really liked it when it was setup in novato at stafford lake? A park scenery just seems like the proper placement for subarus!!

But I also liked how at the alameda air force base they mailed out tickets for food/entrace prior to the event even starting that way when you show up just show your ticket at the entrance and get a raffle ticket for the raffles? Maybe we can do the same thing for the shirts/hoodies/sweaters we get? Pre-pay aheda of time for those who want it, mail them a ticket voucher, pick it up on the day of the event. If they lose the voucher then its their fault. I mean seriously are you not grown up enough to even take care of a piece of paper the size of a dollar bill?

But I wonder how all 3 events would combine into one would work out. I figured 3 different events cause of the different regions, north east, norcal and socal.

Either way though I'm always up to help you out if you need! You know how to get into contact with me!

Never been to subie solstace or Subiefest. Last year BAM was my first and I thought it was awesome! My friends and I were impressed how well it was organized and how things were grouped (food, people, car show).

However, I didn't like Hamilton because I didn't get reception on my phone, and it seemed like parking became an issue later in the day.
