I did the same thing when we were remodeling our house. I was chasing the dog around and my wife had slid a full box of 18" tiles in front of the door to keep it open. My dog turned the corner, hopped the box, I turned the corner and crushed my three smaller toes. I didn't see a doctor, I had some really bad swelling and a half full bottle of vitamin V. I was alright a few days later. My wife the great sympathizer "If you were working instead of playing it wouldn't have happened."
Yeah, but it's been 6 days already and the swelling has done nothing but increase if anything. It hasn't increased on a great scale or anything, very minor increase probably from walking on it... But the swelling is quite noticeable without even comparing the other foot to it... then there's the color.

JHC Daniel, if you don't know when to see a doctor by now with all the crap you've been through, I don't know who would.
I think your basic rule should be "if I am wondering if I should see a doctor, rather than grossing everyone at i-club out, I'd better make an appointment and see a doctor"

I do get into a lot of incidents but none usually result in major injury... usually just thinks like whiplash, dislocated shoulders, hairline fractures, etc... Nothing like that damn spider bite... That was the WORST

UPDATE!
So all these months later, I still have some pain in that section of my foot... What's even more jacked is I suffered some nerve damage at the base of my ankle from the impact with the my small toes. The impact was so great that it bent my toes downward enough to cause damage to the nerve at the base of my outter ankle (it's all connected). Now a small area of my ankle (the outer part right below the ankle bone) is constantly numb and very uncomfortable. Almost feels like when your socks are too tight that it cuts off your circulation at your ankle.
It's def nerve damage from that impact and not something else like diabetes since I have no other symptoms of diabetes and its isolated into that one specific area which is connected to the area that I injured really badly... I got my blood tested and everythin so we're 100% sure.
Looks like I should have gone to the doctor after all, but I doubt they would have done anything for it anyway... Doctors won't treat you for anything unless you're dying, otherwise it's the old "take this and go away" treatment. I guess I was screwed either way.

The difference being, a symptom typically would present itself in a relatively short amount of time, whereas a complication is from the toll diabetes takes on your body and would present itself a lot later in your life, if at all.

If you really want to find out what's wrong you're going to have to be a pain in someone's ***, go to specialists and push them hard. Do your homework, ask them the hard questions and be annoyingly persistent, symptoms like yours could easily be relieved through a number of treatments without ever dealing with whatever is really causing it.
Doctors are sometimes happy to misdiagnose you and send you on your way, sometimes it's ego and sometimes it's just to get you out of their hair. Just make sure you don't just agree eagerly.

I have similar nerve damage from when i broke my big toe and the one next to it. Nothing you can really do but it will get worse if you exercise or if your foot gets hot. It will feel like you sat on it for a hour. Could be worse though it sounds like it is tolerable but still no fun.
Also, if you break a toe just tape it togeather with the one next to it and only wear completely flat shoes so the toe will heal straight. And running without shoes on is just bad i've broken my big and small toes many times due to it.
