Inglourious Basterds

I can't wait for tuesday when IB is released on blu-ray/dvd. I pre-ordered my copy back in october! Needless to say I loved the movie and i'm a big fan of QT. I think he can do no wrong.

Just for fun here's how i would rank his movies.

1. Pulp Fiction
2. Inglourious Basterds
3. Reservoir Dogs
4. Jackie Brown
5. Kill Bill 1/2 (although it would have been much better if he condensed and combined the 2, can't wait for the whole damn affair)
5.4 his work in Sin City
5.5 Deathproof
6. Natural Born Killers (he wrote it i believe)
7. True Romance (he wrote it)

I haven't seen four rooms, but i think he did 1/4 of the movie as well. Hope i didn't forget anything. I'm anxious for his next project. I hear he wants to do a sci-fi flick in the future.

it's actually misspelled for a reason, Tarantino likes to play around with wording and homages. "Inglorious Bastards" was actually a movie from the 70s in which he borrowed the title from.

1. Pulp Fiction <- Great movie
2. Inglourious Basterds <- Didn't like it. Excessive violence does not make up for lack of plot or editing
3. Reservoir Dogs <-great movie
4. Jackie Brown <- one of the worst movies ever made. BOORRRIIINNNG
5. Kill Bill 1/2 (although it would have been much better if he condensed and combined the 2, can't wait for the whole damn affair) <-2 of the dumbest movies ever made. Punched through the coffin and dirt... really...
5.4 his work in Sin City <-very cool movie, not sure how involved QT was
5.5 Deathproof <- haven't watched
6. Natural Born Killers (he wrote it i believe) <- good movie, not amazing
7. True Romance (he wrote it) <- Cool movie

Tarantino just did a private screening of it @ Skywalker Ranch, including Q&A. That woulda been badass to attend.

I'm going to have to agree with you on the Kill Bill ones, those were horrible and a complete waste of my time. I would have been pissed if I paid to see them in the theater.

I know IB was very dialogue heavy, but to me, that's what made it so great! The dialogue built up the suspnse of every little "chapter" of the movie while introducing every main character and ultimately reached some sort of pinnacle. QT's style and prose is uncomparable amongst other directors these days and that was definitely on display in IB.

I disagree that it was excessively violent. It wasn't more violent than say Saving Private Ryan or Saw for that matter. Violence in the movie was a product of the environment and premise of the movie. I agree that the violence was a bit disturbing in some scenes and made me squirm a bit, but you should know what you're getting into when checking out a Tarantino flick. Violence in the movie was a product of the environment and premise of the movie.

what about Sin City? Thought it was a good movie too
QT was just on the Jay Leno show doing the stupid green car challenge..he sucked lol

I'd go see any movie made by Tarantino and Guy Ritchie (****** is one of my all time faves)

I feel the polar opposite of that about Kill Bill.

However, I'm also the only person I know who doesn't like:

Reservoir Dogs
Boondock Saints
Star Wars (all of them)
Top Gun
Soldier
Equilibrium

I was actually able to come across a few people that disliked District 9

I'd be more than happy to never see any of the above movies ever again.
