inglourious basterds was brilliant..
bad portrayal of hitler???? LOL... c'mon it CLEARLY was not meant to be accurate.
This movie was meant to be ridiculously ridiculous and nothing more. (yes i used the word ridiculous back to back. but it was necessary for the description)

Saw Inglourious Basterds last night at the Pruneyard.
That may have been the worst movie I have ever seen.
Boring unnecessary 10-minute dialogs interspersed with overly offensive violence.
Poor acting except for a couple of exceptions - which do not include any American character.
Crappy portrayal of Hitler.
No relevance to anything that actually happened in the real world.
There was literally nothing redeeming about this movie
I'm DONE with Quentin Tarantino... just too many crappy movies in a row.

the "Jew Hunter" was an amazing character, he was able to go from super hillarious, to scary, likeable to hate-able in an instant, and be totally believable whatever mode he was in.
The rest of the acting was ok. Yes some of the dialogue was long, drawn out, and over dramatic, but that's just Tarentino's style.
I give it 6.8/10, compared to 9.5/10 for District 9.

I LOVED it, one of the best movies of the year!
And I personally love his writing, especially the dialogue. It develops the characters and moves along the plot without insane scene changes (see star wars ep: 1-3).
Take the opening scene. 15 minutes of dialog, one set. Its almost one continuous shot, but it gives you an idea of the characters and the emotion involved in the movie. To get that otherwise, you would have to show more history of the "jew hunter" and what happened to the family.
In the scene in the bar, the dialog is a KEY plot component. It provides a plot twist as well as moving the story along.
QT can use dialog in such a way that no other writer/director can. In this movie, so much plot and emotion is delivered in a few words, which bring a subtle brilliance and nuance to it.

Basterds - 9.0 from me. Rivals Pulp Fiction for his best work.
