Military payroll records that could more fully document President Bush's whereabouts during his service in the Texas Air National Guard were inadvertently destroyed, according to the Pentagon

There should be record of it on paper and microfilm for every veteran.
There was a major fire at NPRC, St. Louis that destroyed ~18million files completely (thus resulting in frauds and 'Stolen Valor') Unfortunately for Bush, These files affected people with discharges till 1964 IIRC.
The fact that the President's files were erased is suspect but errors can occur here and there. You'd think there would be special care and back-up files for people in office etc.
There's just too much fishy crap on both sides. First it's Bush's military records and Kerry's medals for "mosquito bites" and "acts of valor". He recieved decorations for common acts in Vietnam yet other servicemen were never recognized for medals of similar acts (which screams kiss-*** officer and crybaby in the military world).
Now we're getting word that Bush's files vanished and Kerry's divorce papers cannot be accessed (as of yet unless court orders it) eventhough he's running for President and there's words of misconduct in his previous marriage?!
Why can't there be anyone running with a decent record for ****s sake?!
I can't wait for the election to be over...

I blame modern media for the lack of good politicians. Plenty of good men (and women) won't or can't run for office becuase of one dumb choice or mistake they made when they were no older or wiser than most of us. I really don't give much of a crap what a 55 year old man did from the ages of 20-25 if he wants to run for office now.
