Get a GR STi!!! I want to see what you can do with it!!! Consider waiting for an 09 though. It's only a few months away

Keep your current car.
Pay it off.
Save some money.
Buy your next one when you can make a nice down payment.

STIs are fast and fun and all that, but they're a lot more costly than a WRX too, you'll probably end up paying on a loan for longer than you will with your WRX (since you're already in to it and I'd guess you're financing the new purchase over 5-6 years), etc.

I've never driven any STi, so I don't know how the ride qualities compare, but based on looks I'd get an 08 STI

I own a 08 but driven an 04 and i can tell you they are very different. The ride in the 08 is very soft and needs a lot of work. As far as power, i believe the 08 is just as fast if not faster but lack the grunt from previous years.

Hit me up if you want a test drive. Think I saw you at the SF meet last weekend.

you should also consider the insurance hike as a part of the payments if you get the sti...

insurance peoples know how often people total sti's and the owners pay handsomely for it

I heard that 08/09 STI's have lower insurance than others years becuase it falls under a new body type. Somthing along those lines at least.

Get your parents to insure it and add you as a driver. Problem solved. Nothing like a 60+ year old retired elementary school principal with an STi on their insurance.
