charging for valve stems is normal, and CA charges them a disposal fee which they pass on to the customer (they could just bump up the dismounting cost and not tell you why). The shops to really look out for are the ones that charge a dismounting AND mounting fee. Midas charges $20-$25 just to dismount a tire

I said "no no, I just want to dismount one tire, not dismount and mount all 4" and he said "I know"

If you don't mind sharing, what is the name/location and contact info for this shop? I have to change tires out for one of my other cars as well as my Subaru within the next two weeks.

I wouldn't make things like this up, thanks for showing your "concern" for other members though, I don't see how banning me would benefit anyone
