Sorry about that... I stopped by an ATM on the way out there to pay for the event and let Shiv hold the cash (no pockets). When we walked by no one said anything so we just walked in. That was rude... Sorry again.
Ps. I was nearly deaf from that car when we got out at Hammy... riiiiiiinging of the ears. And i really think Shiv genuinely did not hear or notice people commenting on the car. I had to point out all the thumbs up we got on the way up the mountain with a response "you sure, really?"
Wish we could have come out earlier, it was pretty dead by the time we arrived

Thanks, no harm, no foul. We just saw it as sort of a slap in the face at the time... but I know you guys didn't mean it. It's all good.

I have a right to be upset about people speeding at this event!
(On a different note, who was the moron in the blue ridge pearl RS with VERY loud exhaust and dark wheels leaving the park at around 2:00ish (roughly).
You deserve a spike strip you douchebag!!!

In regards to his Lambo, that thing is loud and pretty sweet I might say so myself...and yes I went for a ride a few weeks back in it and it was every kids dream. If even Shiv does have to make payments on it...WHO PAYS FOR A $200,000+ CAR CASH...NOBODY DOES, no smart business man would even if you had it.
Even more so, how many of us threw down 20-30k+ for their wrx or sti straight cash? I bet A LOT of us make payments....

Have you driven both cars? I have, and I can tell you that they don't even compare. The R8 is a fun car, but it is nowhere near the Gallardo in terms of outright speed, or driving feel. The Gallardo is a much edgier, violent type of car, that slides in perfect slip angle like nothing I have ever seen. The R8 is much more pedestrian, and really can't be compared with the Gallardo, when it comes to the driving experience. Would I still take an R8? Bet your bottom dollar I would.
If you have driven both, then I am interested to hear why you don't agree with this analysis.
And that is all I will add to this thread.

I was 10 months deep (only 2 months go to) into the waitlist for an F430 before I pulled out and got the Gallardo. I changed my mind after driving the Ferrari around for an afternoon in Florida. Just couldn't get fully comfortable in it. No doubt that it's the perfect track day car. But once one gets accustomed to a good AWD system, it's hard to go back to high-powered RWD cars. Especially on the street where apexes aren't always where you think they are.

Personally, I'd take a GT2 Porsche 997 over a Gallardo anyday.
I got to drive a 996 GT2 a while back and it was the most amazing car ever. Its like it was built for me. The 997 I've seen make me want to do naughty things.
But before I spend that much money on cars, I'd rather stock up on some quality firearms. But that's just me.
