if you avoided a deer and crashed the car...

if you avoided a deer and crashed into the curb...how is that your fault? However, if you hit the deer, then it would be considered as comprehensive...and i woult NOT be at fault. Can someone explain?

a) because the deer doesn't have insurance

b) You get some venison sausage out of the deal so you can't complain too much

say i hit the deer, insurance isn't going to get money from the deers' side. so they will have to fork out money anyways for damages.

True. **** happens....

Insurance is a HUGE risk game. you're either dealt the cards or some deals you. It's the unfortunate price you pay for getting behind the wheel in the first place... even if it means your premium goes up.

theres no proof a deer was ever there if u avoid it... if u hit it then they have reason to believe its not ur fault

I must ask, how fast was the deer going and was it under the influence?

A friend of mine had the same problem a few years back, he crashed avoiding a deer and got screwed by his insurance company. He would have been better off hitting the deer.
