If Marijuana has so many medical benefits, why isn't it legalized for medical use?

-It will kill tobacco sales.
-Marijuana can also trigger some underlying conditions (seizures).
-Its also hard to draw a line where the legalize drugs thing would end. Why legalize marijane and not coke?
In the end its all politics.

To me it seems that it comes down to Money. Yes there are all the other fears associated with marijuana that really shouldn't be associated with it, but the biggest problem comes down to Taxation of the Good. How do you properly tax & control the in flow of a good or commodity that anyone with time and the proper setup can create for themselves at home?

Daniel watch "The Union: The Business Behind Getting High." Has a lot of really good information, I used it to write my thesis paper.
It's all politics. I don't know if it's been said but it would kill tobacco industry, the same industry that funds our great politicians campaigns. Hell, the declaration of independence was written on hemp paper and George Washington himself grew marijuana and said it was the most useful plant known to man.

I was is a really bad accident and spent a month in the hospital. After I got out I had a terrible time sleeping. Docs perscribed me all sorts of opiates and sleeping pills and none worked. My brother brought me some weed and the relief was instant. It helps people, I'm living proof.

When I had my tonsils taken out I was prescribed liquid codine for the pain and the doses were very limited, and I couldn't fill my prescription early because I could have been a junkie... yah ok. Anyway, I'm a big dude 6', 220, and the doses they gave me were bull. I didn't even feel it! I was still in pain 24/7. I made tea from some local Sativa ground up in a tea ball and it worked wonders and I still kept my A's in all 12 of the units I was taking. I think if your lazy you'll be lazy regardless. If it can benefit you medically or just be a social thing then pack one for me and always remember, puff puff pass, don't get greedy.

There is a huge amount of people who smoke pot that aren't lazy. I have examples of plenty of friends who are doing just that. And who knows what goes on on the higher end parties.

Shoot, i've had chronic back-pain for the last 4 years. Several dislocated vertebrae and constant impact and abuse that is still going on. Maybe I need to go see a doc.
03'bugeye, sounds like it didn't affect your ability to study and focus. That's good because that's my biggest concern with any drug.

I injured my back in wrestling, and then a moto-cross accident really put me down. The vicodin I received made me way too nauseous, so I started visiting the "clinic." Back pain alleviated and I still maintained my 20 hr job and A's/B's in my 13 units. Without it I'd be pretty much bed ridden. Lazy people will be lazy if they smoke cannabis, bad demographic to represent a whole.
I do....shhhhhhhh :3

I guess having a very low car on coilovers in the rough hills doesn't help.
