If I can wiggle my rear tire in and out, is it only wheel bearing?

thanks. will do. Although I am not sure the exact part number, I'll get more information from the parts department.
wow. those bearings look all broken??
when did this happen to you? How long did you let the problem run?
I don't think it can actually come off unless you had some catastrophic failure. The axle nut holds everything in place so it shouldn't be able to come apart. It may make some noise though. I had a bad front driver wheel bearing and I let it go a bit longer than I should have. When I took it off it came apart in pieces.
I agree with sigma pi. Get a new hub as well. Less work too, as you dont need to pull the old bearing off the old hub.

@asoka05, I probably let it go for two months. I definitely don't recommend waiting that long.
I got my wheel bearing and hub from monument auto parts. They can get it pretty quickly and same day most of the time.

I don't know anyone willing to warranty parts a customer has provided.

Here is what you do:
Call Andrew at Subaru Parts in WA. Great prices, no tax. Give him your VIN and he will make sure you get the correct part. Regardless of who you call for the parts, have your VIN available.
Get this done soon enough and you will not need to replace the knuckle. The longer you let it go, the more the bearing race moves around in the knuckle and wears it out of tolerence.
And like Sigma said, chances are the hub is bad as well. My hub was spinning inside of the bearing, and I was able to pull the hub and inner bearing out of the bearing race with little effort (who was the guy that said a wheel CANNOT come off?). I would not bother replacing the other side hub, but definitely replace both side bearings at the same time.

Yes sir, you should have seen my buddies and my faces when we pulled off the knuckle. It was great.
Learned not to wait that long thats for sure haha.
Ended up buying a press for the house. Been so much easier with it. Was able to swap out the diff bushings in about 30 seconds with the press as compared to burning them out or prying them out.

I got it from harbor freight. They had a super coupon or something in their ad and it was just under $140 out the door I believe. I only got the 12 ton, but wishing I had sprung for the 20 ton. They have a 20ton hydraulic jack with an air fitting on it which would be perfect for a 20ton air over hydraulic jack in the garage.
