Exactly what I was thinking. When I saw this thread, I thought "Oh no, he got an Evo X. I just know it."

Thankfully you proved me wrong!!! Now get out there and enjoy it!!!

If I were you I would get it over to Mike ASAP. I'm not saying anything is wrong but definately get the brit to cast his eye over the tune, that way you can feel safe when you go WOT.
Of course, I already planned on it.

I'm waiting for my friend to buy my STi V5 seats so I can afford to do last min touch up to it (including tune, etc)\

Edit: The boost gauge is the factor one... Small one that goes on the steering rack

why would they modify the exhaust and intercooler and that's it. Seems to me you might have gotten a car that was modified then turned back to as close to stock as they could get before they traded it in. Not good. Hope it works out.

I know 08 and newer cars don't have the sti stencil on them.

This car will cost him $6,600, am I correct Daniel?

And I knew you wouldn't stray from Subaru

I had no idea that my choice of car meant so much to you guys!

The best thing about owning a subie is the community that comes with it... I'm not even kidding, it's #1 on my list of great things about a Subaru. Not to sound like an elitist, but we're so far ahead of the curve in terms of community love.

Do a compression test. I would be VERY interested to see how your compression is looking on a stock 07 with some miles under its belt.

Oh and congrats!

Good point. Any other irregularities besides the apparent WRX intercooler? Any mounting holes or mysterious brackets in the engine bay, maybe a suspcisiously clean or brand new air filter, or other such things? Definitely don't want to rain on your parade, but these things do happen.

I/C is the only thing... Everything else is 100% stock.. No body cutting or anything, just a diff I/C.

Brucelee- It's a problem with the factory tune blowing the ringland in piston #4. I have been on the sti forum for a long time and its a legit issue. Just do yourself a favor and get a tune.

"We're a happy family..."

But seriously, I shouldn't even have thought that. I should have realized that having owned two Scoobies prior, you weren't about to leave the Suby community behind. And you didn't, so congrats!!! And make sure you post pics with the new wheel setup!!!
