I do not doubt that, but knocking the EJ25x series cause its not a cast-iron block really doesn't matter.

^ Ah, I see. I remember when the 4B11T was announced and had a lot of the Evo people worried that the new engine wouldn't be as capable as the 4G63.

yea but i think just the general numbers of high hp and fast 1/4mile evos overshadow those in subaru barn, thus why he my have come to that conclusion. stil makes power, just not as much or as easy..

We can stop any time, I've tried apologizing to you several times and tried resolving this, and you can ask any of the mods for confirmation of this... Whenever I thought we were making progress you'd take a cheap shot at me for whatever reason... Finally I realized (well after a year of trying to resolve it) that you wanted no part in solving it so I decided just to have fun with it.

I'm willing to be mature and end it at any time, it's up to you.

blah blah blah blah blah blah did you talk to the wife yet?? i KNOW that at LEAST 75% of subaru (enthusiasts) secretly desire an EVO, and that 45% of EVO (enthusiasts) secretly desire an STI or RS swap... might as well fulfill your dream and not regret it...

Yeah, I'm working on her... I'd really like to drive an EVO X before I go further, but if it's anything like the previous gen, then Im sold. I hated the last gen interior minus the hot seats, but I know the X improves on that, w00t.

dope dope dopamine... the only thing i remember from when i was looking at evos was that the seat sometimes has some bad stitching, so check to make sure the seats appear to be sewn nicely together. good luck ! the three things that deterred me were... (1) capital mitsubishi thought i was an idiot and would NOT looking at the paperwork before i signed... (2) the rpm in 5th gear at 75-80mph and (3) the overall cost. good luck ! have no regrets brah ! get your dream car, i was finally able to get mine and every time i wake up in the morning i smile cause i get to drive the car i drive lol

Here's my question: To you converts, do you regret leaving the subie world to move on to the EVO world? Any issues? Things that we should know?

I almost fell out of my chair when I read this. My wife and I have exactly the same conversation all the time.

I am a total evo fan boy. For the cost of cams, injectors, turbo, fuel pump and a tune on e-85 you can make reliable retarded power.

My wife will not let me do it as she feels they are unsafe. They are rated really low in consumer crash test ratings. I told her I would put a cage in it. Still no love.

SO I am left with having to dump tons of money into my WRX to make it fun.

i dunno, if her concern is your safety i wouldn't put it against her.

btw, what year are you speaking of wrt crash test ratings? i can't find any 2010 crash test ratings for the evo.
