It was a good meet, people. Light turnout, but we had fun. Thanks for organizing the thing. Weather was good, IMO. Mostly bright sunshine when we reached the lake, although the storm passed over us for a bit. The hillsides around Berryessa was lush with green so it made for a nice scene.

The drive was a good one. I got to push my car harder than my daily commute to work so now I think I've actually got some wear on my RE92s. Thanks, Egan, for easing off when you hit the straight stretches - it gave me hope when I could at least catch a glimpse of taillights.

Ahhh, that was fun. Till next time. The weather was great. Hailed and rained on us a bit but for the most part the sun was shining and the lake was full. It was all good. I hope next time more peeps will come along.

Stupid freakin' work! My boss tells me Friday morning that we need to submit this project on Mpnday, and it's not even close to being ready. So, instead of cruising up to the lake for a 'que in the sun, I'm stuck working 14 freakin hours of overtime this weekend. to spineless bosses who can't tell their clients the truth! Oh well, at least I'll get to make the autocrosses next weekend. How many of ya'll are gonna be there?

JV, thanks for posting that pic of the meet and for blanking out the license plates - not everyone takes the time to do that before posting. This will go in my online scrapbook.

Here's what I posted on the other site:

It was a pretty good turnout considering the rain caused a whole bunch of people to wimp out. Isn't this why we all bought AWD cars? You can always wash the things next weekend. Geez!

Only 2 of us from Sac showed up at Truxel. Just me and Alan (Wingless Wonder). We hit downpours in Davis, but once we got to Winters it stopped and some beautiful sunshine came out. Once we got to Oak Shores we met up with the Sonoma County folks and talked cars for a couple of hours.

We did get rained on once, but we were able to find cover:

See, here's some of that rain. Actually, it hailed for all of 2 minutes!

Here's the group:

The drive was a blast. The road was dry on the way out and there were just a few drizzles on the way back. We'll have to do this again with a bigger crowd once the sun comes out permanently.

Thanks for organizing everything hayscoob! Alan, I was just trying to make sure you enjoyed the drive!

Thanks for the post and pics, Mike (Egan or wrXratd). There were more than a few threads I'd subscribed to about the meet but missed that one.

Good choice for a rendezvous point for the two BAICs.

Alan, I was just trying to make sure you enjoyed the drive!
It was all good!

Any suggestions on when the sequel will be? I must make amends for my lack of attendance!

Keep a close eye on this forum. There will be another meet indeed. It would be nice to arrange a meet every month or so. That would be nice for plannin sake..

I'd like to suggest planning the next meet around one of these AutoX events. There were about 15-17 BAICers at the Cal Expo CSCC event, no reason not to crash a few more cone parties! Besides, most of the people who do go to meets will ditch them for an autocross anyway.
