I think I hold the record for longest exhaust swap...

Yeah.. so I changed my exhaust for my first time, with some friends who are novice mechanics.

We started at 4pm and finished at about... 1am. hahaha

First, it took us a while to find safe jacking points, and we ended up searching google for help. Then we ran out of room in my friends garage.. so we had to move things around.

After that was completed, we had the daunting task of removing seized bolts for a LONG time. Then there was the removal of that one bolt on the turbo closest to the intercooler.. oh and the O2 sensor for us newbs was a pain.

It was a good learning experience, and I found some goodies on my car.

It has what looks to be Cobb or Cusco sway bars... they are blue, and some purple plate things in the shape of a "C" that connect to sway bar and tie rod... maybe?

The "c" things are called endlinks -- and if they were blue, it sounds like cobb.

i have cusco sway bars and helix endlinks... blue and purple.

cobb's are blue too and i don't know how to distinguish between the two without stickers, haha.

either way, you got some pretty good stuff. helix endlinks aren't the greatest but they work for me.

I just looked at a google image of the Helix Endlinks, and mine are definitely Helix.

Yeah it was a learning experience. Of course we stopped to eat and drink at some points, but overall it took forever. I passed smog today, so now I have to do it all over again.

haha
