Maybe the moderator had a bad experience with racing or just doesn't want to promote it. I think they're much worse threads he should be worried about.

Like the one's that end in argument/stupid debates for example

but that's just my.02

I know it seems things have gotten worse around here, we have had a couple of threads locked recently and they weren't even dumb threads, they have had points to them...I thought threads get locked when people are bashing each other and flame wars are going on, not when you are posting about a great achievement (beating that 330+ HP Mustang)

Probably cause Josh doesnt like the idea of driving his car with his kids in the back then getting hit by some idiot racing a mustang at "hellacious speeds" on public roads.

Thought control. Taboo! Kind of like, "If we don't talk about, it doesn't happen."

I was just surprised that I beat a high HP car.

I know when josh was moderator on the "other" board, talk of street racing was frowned upon. Maybe that carried over?

WOW

i was hesitant to lock it, but got a complaint about it so i did. i dont lock anything unless there are complaints and they are warranted. we are getting bigger, and this thing happens. you of all people should know that. street race stories have never been gig on my nor alex's list of OK things to discuss. recently there have been a rise in these types of threads.

go crazy with your idiotic race stories. i am unlocking that thread.

josh
PS i apologize for the scene earlier if you read it. all is better now....

I thought it was 170 Dave...

I'd come to the opinion that Josh was generally a pretty chill moderator, so let's not go hanging him or anything.

Josh, with all due respect, I am curious why a thread should be locked?

I mean... On occassion we run, it's a fact of life. As long as things stay civil on the board is there any reason to lock a thread?

Ignoring street racing won't make it go away, so we might as well just talk about it. We all know that posting a kill story on here is like asking to be flamed by the "righteous ones."

So why not just let the story run?

Sorry about the cruel comment Josh. I retract that line. It was not a personal attack. I am not the one who threw them into the debate. Please accept my sincere appolagies. It was very foul of me.
