Just take the bov off. You don't need it and it takes 5-10 minutes to take it off and replace with your stock bpv. Second off, do you have all your cats on your exhaust or catless? How loud is it? These are all things that they can check for and their numbers after smog and db test will tell the outcome. Basically, you did something wrong, some people got caught some people didn't. That's life though. Even if you were just watching and the cops came rolling through, do you think they are going to only get the people actually doing the racing? No! They are going to get whatever they can and that's part of their job.
