Has to be in the bay this year? It always is.
The bay area is bigger than San Jose. If I'm not mistaken, the location is solid. Focus on ideas for entertainment.

Though me personally being an SC native I'd love it close.

I think people can bring there own entertainment. I'm way to old and lazy to be running around playing capture the flavor n' sh@t. I'm not 13 for gods sake.

^ As BAM is a club-wide event, let's try to find an activity that's more community-oriented, rather than people walking around with their iPods all day :P I'm sure there're many who would agree with you about not wanting to move around. I think last year people either stuck to their own groups for entertainment, or walked around talking to sponsors because nothing was actually organized...

Um. Just a rough idea... what if we got a competition going on which year is the best year of Subie? People are obviously passionate about their cars and many probably have vast amounts of knowledge about them. Gather people into teams who will gather their thoughts and make a list of pros about their year/ model, then submit their lists to a panel of judges who decide. Winners get free iclub stickers... or Huck skulls... or a free oil change? Just juggling ideas around =P

C'mon... let's put our heads together for the want-to-stay-seated crowd!

Yes I just googled earthed that beach and it looks it would be a great place to hold the event!

Let me suggest History Park in San Jose...
That place has all sorts of car shows there... there's cool stuff to look at with the houses being open, the trolly barn is awesome for mechanix nerds
Good parking easy to get to. Ice Cream shop on site. Lots of shade.
Happy Hollow is next door for the kids. http://www.historysanjose.org/

I think we have the grilles covered - Rau, 455h0l3 and I have them all day long - so you've got that set.

is treasure island a possability? that would be pretty much dead center. but i have no clue if that is possible with the bridge project. just throwing it out there.

ideas

-break dance contest - bring your own carboard
-tricycle race
-big wheel drift contest
-best dressed contest
-suspension swap contest (who can install craptastic CO's the quickest)
-how many people can you stuff into a gc8 2 door, team style.
-if we can get enough cheepo RC's an RC race

OR like the original BAM, we can simply get burritos and gawk at each others cars. (jk)

and fwiw, id happily MC the event if Daniel you would rather be organizing.

Will do! I expect a good clean fight, no low blows, unless necessary to win, no gouging of the eyes, unless you feel like it.
