we use chase and got 4.9 on our first loan. But we had a large loan with them before and the smaller one they took on right away.

Most Credit Unions provide a better deal than a bank, being they are not for profit. They also offer Gap Coverage for a reasonable price.

Being a Loan Officer, I would recommend Golden One, Provident, Patelco, Safe Credit Union, etc. I have an STI w/ 6.00% interest rate for $22,000. Monthly payment is $450 on a 5 year loan.

Just check all the local CU's.

The one i goto has i think 6.49% for a 700 or better score.

San Mateo CU i heard had great rates too.

back in 04 when i got my sti i had 3.5 for 5 years for 30k
