I need high estimates...
So I go to get my DOT certificatin to be a classroom driving instructor in LA.
We are required to give a presentation on a chosen topic. I was assigned following and stopping distance. I gove this on Wed night, get my cert on Thurs morning.
What happens on I-210 down there in San Gabriel? Some ******* in a Chevy Avalanche doing 70 doesnt seem to notice that traffic is stopped, hits me at 35, pushes me into the car in front of me, and can only say: "****, my truck is only 2 weeks old"
So anyway, I manage to avoid having the airbags go off, and I have an estimate of $4,185 for body repairs, and i need two more, I also need to have the tranny looked at because since i got hit it doesnt work like before...
Any suggestions where to go?
Oh and does anyone know any accident oriented chiropractors? I have had a headache since thursday and neck/back pain since yesterday...

robb, sorry to hear about you and your car. if you want a really high estamate go to magnussens auto body in dublin. the place is a rip off, aboslutely off the wall expensive, and does crappy work. get the high estimate and go to panel craft in berk. i have seen the work they did on dahveed's car and it is phenominal to say the least.
was this truck rollin on dubs? if so, sue the hell outta him!!!

Umm, if you feel pain GO TO THE HOSPITAL IMMEDIATELY.
This is important for two reasons.
1) You're hurt. Sitting for 20 minutes and feeling burning in your back doesn't exactly sound minor.
2) Documentation that you were hurt and the pain was bad enough that you went to the hospital ASAP. This will bring, at the very least, a certain amount of money over and above your bills from the insurance company. At most it gives you a basis for a court case.
But even if you don't sue, if you have doctors bills and pain medicine prescriptions, the insurance company will automatically offer money to avoid a potential court case. Depending on the amount of trauma it can be substantial.
I had very minor injuries in one accident that was a rear-ending, and they offered me about $1000 over my bills, my girlfriend had a bit more substantial injuries, but still nothing major and they gave her like $2500 over her bills. This was without a lawsuit, just a flat offer from the insurance company.
