Well, regarding intakes on the MS3, that buddy I was tellin' ya about installed some CAI and immediately started pouring black smoke out his tailpipe haha.
Then for Lord knows why, his heap kept on overheating. I don't get what the hell is wrong with it, and I hope that not all MS3's are like that
But still, I wouldn't get one heh heh.

And of course the WRX/STI is always a solid choice too. Good luck finding a stock one though.

Yea, if it wasn't for the ****ty mileage the 8 would be a pretty good bargain. The MS3 has pretty good mileage for a high output turbo 4. The interior is pretty decent too. Never to a ride in one though.

"The ms3 gets like 20, so that's a lot better..."
We'll see what you think when I tell you that Silke's Forester XT with the VF39 and current mod list STILL gets 20mpg or slightly more.
~250WHP and 31x lb./ft. of torque... more than enough to pull out a Scion xB from a sheep pasture, or a flipped over car back up an embankment...
When we did that last run, and you were shooting out fireballs at us, we still averaged ~18mpg...
Our insurance runs ~150/mo. for:
'92 SVX (x2) - yes, we bought the LIC shop car, so we have two of them
'98 Forester
'04 Forester XT (just about as cheap to insure liability-wise as the '98)
'88 Ford F-250XLT Lariat with 460 motor - not much to insure on that one
Trust me, if you're looking for "great mileage", you're looking in the wrong neighborhood if you're looking at an STi. We get better mileage, it costs less to insure, and even our teenage members with Foresters tell us how the insurance companies consider all Foresters to be "mommy-wagons" so they're cheap to insure. Besides, it's us mature people who keep the accident rate DOWN on the Forester, hence they're cheaper to insure.
Compare ALL of the costs before jumping into something. Regardless of which car you finally settle on, please make sure you're informed about your choice, and not simply get the one you become emotionally attached to...
