I had a very similar thing happen to me. I was on my Ducati when a multiple car accident happened ALL around me on the 405! Pieces of cars and whole cars going everywhere ~ found a bike wide gap ~ and I was through!

It was 2 miles to the next ramp and behind me was 'sealed' tight. Shaking and by now not really wanting to go to Angles Crest, I parked the bike. Busted out my lunch from the tank bag and sat in the middle of the freeway (next to my bike) and ate my lunch... Well, just because I could!
