I think you did the right thing.

The way I look at it is like serious highschool fights. Sure you can go run to the nearest authority and rely on them to call security.
Or you can at least seperate them off until somebody comes along to help- which yeah, it'll get you some questioning and a bit of trouble, but will possibly keep someone from being paralyzed/sent to the hospital.

I'll buy you a drink myself, you definitely did the right thing. What an asshat that guy is.

P.S it seems like a lot of us here on I-Club have a dog or dogs. We should have a pup meet sometime.

i would have been there right with you. i would never let someone beat a dog. good thing you held your dog back, i think all we remember the last time you got into a bind with a stranger while walking your dog.

i hope that dude gets minimum of 10 years for assault and animal cruelty. odds are he get a slap on the wrist and a fine. do you think you'll press charges andy? if anything, go to court and be the witness so they can him.

Way to go mate, the only thing that could have made that story better would have been if he broke his hand on your jaw with out hurting you and then when they put him in cuffs beat the **** out of him!

How anyone can lay into a dog is beyond me, as everyone that comes to our shop knows I love dogs and have mine with me at damn near all times. I hate scum like this douche bag and have no idea why people like that even attempt to own a dog!

I feel sick to my stomach just reading your story, and picturing some asshat doing that to a dog. I love dogs, and it is so disgusting when I hear about someone doing that. I'm glad you saved the dog's life, and hopefully get this guy a rap sheet going with the SFPD in case someone catches him pullin this bs in the future.
