From reading your first post I almost thought you were going to say you got fed up and decided to turn on the lawnmower w/ the mouse under it.....good thing you didn't do that cause you'd have a mess and you woulda felt worse. Good luck with the new place, hope you don't have any other pest problems ect..

I agree.
I will avoid killing a moth, if I can.
But sometimes you have to give back, vis a vis karma.
Ants used to TRY to enter my restaurant, attempting to cause me and my patrons grief. So I killed 'em all, with no regret.
Since I have one adult Great Dane, amongst 3 other dogs in my house, I've found out that no-one makes giant doggy-door inserts for the sliding glass door to the backyard.
My last fabricated screen door with a giant dog door on it broke a year ago.
We've been keeping the sliding glass door open every night, and last winter rats & mice were entering our house!
So I bought a Crossman Walther P99 replica pelletgun, C02 of course, and I wound up killing about 7 of them last winter.
3 weeks ago, they came back, and ate a hole in the pump body to our dishwasher, destroying it, forcing me to replace it with a new $300 unit.
So I killed the culprit. Overdid it. Pumped about 24 Beeman Silver Jets into his a$$.
And now we keep the sliding door closed at night! Dogs get one last chance to go out, right before the last person awake goes to bed.

Because of the Patterdale Terrier (Fox hunting dog), the cats must stay in the garage, and so they never go inside or in the back yard.
I know, I know, all it takes is a smart cat!

LOL, well, when I had my house in Sacto ( ), we had 3/4 of my yard covered in 30 y/o IVY! talk about rat infestation....well, all I had to do to fix the problem is let the cats (2) out for the night, or IF one rat got into the house, the cats were all over his @$$....the thing was...the cats would bring the rat inside to play with it...then if he didnt end up killing the rat...he would let it go to catch later INSIDE! Well, Much like David....I have a Benjamin Sheradin Pellet rifle....Extremely accurate (scoped in to hit the head of a push pin at 75 ft.) so, if the rat was let loose in the house, I was forced to catch him, take him outside and "bust a cap in his @$$!"
but for the most part, the cats took care of 90% of the problem.
