i-club is slow

I am just wondering if everyone is experiencing the same thing. Pages on i-club seem to take a long time to download or open up.

hey nikonlens. I've got a question for ya. I just got a D40, and i'm looking to get a lens in a little while after i save up. I can't decide whether i should get the Nikon 55-200mm VR for long distances or get the Nikon 12-24mm wide angle lens.
Another alternative to the Nikon wide angle lens is the Tokina 12-24mm lens, but it doesn't have auto focus with the D40. But at half the price of the Nikon it's worth considering.

So the problem is I really want the 12-24mm lens but it's so damn expansive. While the 55-200m lens is only 1/3 the price of the wide angle.

... choices choices.

If anyone have any input that'd be great

my opinion is: get one lens that is probably the best, 18-200VR. It should cover the whole range you're looking for. Nikon makes the best one by far, but you can look at Tamron who makes one as well. You never want to go cheap on lenses because the quality of your picture is counting on that more than the camera itself.

+1

It's been like that for a while. I never have that issue with other forums I visit.

mmmm, I'm thinking more along the lines of the owner doing some maintenance/upgrades, because normally it moves pretty well for me (unless I'm in the NWS thread loading about 125 images per page...)

Let's see if he chimes in at all...
