Here's a longer version of the video
Protester: Anybody making over $2m should pay 70% in taxes!
Schiff: Well guess what? As soon as I make near $2m, I'm going to take the rest of the year off and play some golf, go fishing, relax and do whatever I want. While I'm at it, I'm going to tell my employees to go on furlough for the same amount of time so that I don't have to pay 70% in taxes.
lol funny stuff. I'm just loosely paraphrasing, but it's even more funny when u watch the video. It's at the 15 minute mark.

Good on Schiff to come down to try and dialog.
99% vs 1% is actually a misnomer; but it's an easy meme for the masses to understand.
But there's no intelligent dialog here... people are just too mad.

This movement is still in it's infancy, therefore, the protesters are still defining their arguments and more importantly their platform. As time goes on their grounds for discussion will become more clear. However, currently most of the protesters are ill informed and having incorrect misconceptions about government policy and capitalism. It's unfortunate that the federal government bailed out failing businesses, this is just poor capitalism. They should be angry that white collar individuals got away with "ponzi schemes" and we're never formally imprisoned or filed charges against their illegal manipulation of people's money. The real crime at stake is that all branches of government are bought out by lobbyist from big corporations and are paid ear marks for the creation of policy and legislature that benefits their economic growth and greed.

I'll agree with what SubyWrxGuy stated. Definitely a movement that I am all in for, but again the reasoning should be made clear. OUR government needs to understand it isn't a Democratic or Republican or Just an Obama thing, it's all of them. They make the decision, the Federal Reserve made the decisions, the banks made the decisions and greed is why they made poor decisions. They shouldn't have been bailed out, who should be blame for that? Government, doing too much, and making us suffer for it. Responsibility went out the window from the top down, and people Occupying is just the very tip of the iceberg.
The idea of world wide revolt is insane... but it's gaining. That might be the only way to make the government understand they're FOR us, not to control us.

It sucks when greed has become evil. Greed built this great nation. Greed governed by rational and enforced laws will bring us out of this recession. Those who think greed is evil need to rethink and better articulate their arguments.
I built a company that employed 150 people before I sold it. I didn't build it to make the world a better place. I built it to provide security for my family. I paid good wages and my folks were happy. I also paid half of my income to the state and federal government.
When the 99% comes knocking they can kiss my tailpipe.
