Frustrating it was.

Nick, is that a Full Throttle avatar? Great game! I with they'd make a follow up.

Cubs infielder Mike Fontenot will be switching locker rooms today at the park. Giants just acquired him.

We are in the waiver trade period, which makes trades harder. Dunn, for instance, was already blocked for the Giants.

Dunn wouldn't seem like he'd be happy as a Giant anyhow. I believe it was the Dodgers that blocked us. But I would have given up Jonathon Sanchez for Dunn, which from all the reports is what teams wanted. Either Sanchez or Bumgarner.

I am still seeing reports about Guillen talks. Hopefully we can still add another bat.

How did I miss this? Yeah, its Full Throttle. Game rules. Too bad LucasArts isn't interested in anything but Star Wars games these days.

ANYWAY,
Great game today. I can't believe the bullpen imploded like that. They are usually much better than that. Oh well, Wilson and Torres once again do their magic. And Pat Burrell can stay too. He seems to be pretty good with the bat.

The Jose Guillen trade looks like it go finalized this morning. Not sure how I feel about it. Hopefully he's not as terrible on defense as they say (they did say the same thing about Burrell and Huff, and both have been reasonably decent).

^ let's just hope that he doesn't mess up the morale/chemistry in the clubhouse.

As long as Guillen is a productive bat, i could care less if he gets along with the other guys or vice/versa. Kent and Bonds never got along, but they were good on the field.

From John Shea on twitter...

The minute Guillen walks in Giants' clubhouse, Huff and Burrell will pull him aside and tell him, "Don't screw this up."

Guillen could be a low risk/high reward player. Let's just hope the change of sceinery and the fact that he will have to play for a new contract next season motivate him. They said the same thing when Pat got to the Giants about a cancer to the team and he seems Pat is just happy to be playing in a team that is in the playoff hunt. Hope Guillen feels the same way, but another bat doesn't hurt!

Wow, I think the Giants 2010 record for a comeback win this year was maybe a 3 or 4 run deficit.
