Well I don't HAVE to ask for permission, but its good to see what the wife thinks (it shows you are concerned about her feelings also) plus I have a child too, so Family comes first before Fun.

The second is very similar to one I posted a couple weeks back...the difference being, I would skip the Ferndale to Honeydew section (the Wildcat road). It is a really nice drive, but it is VERY rough, and a lot of the folks out there do not like to share their road.

From 101 to Honeydew, then over towards Shelter Cove...maybe a detour to the beach for a photo op/break, then back to Redway or Garberville would be better.

Yep, I had a crazy old man run me off the road and almost kick my A** because I stopped really quickly on the drive to take a picture of his cow. And I'm 5'3 and a chick...
I thought the road was fun though, not too rough in terms of maintenance, though this was last April so I imagine these latest rains couldn't have helped.

Yep, the man speaks the truth. If I weren't going to be laying on a beach and drinking tall frilly beverages, I would definitely be there Have fun guys and be safe!

Family is ALWAYS number 1, or it should be...

He was probably worried about more than his cow...

Stock suspension is a lot nicer on those roads. I feel sorry for anyone with wheels lol. Like I said, the other route is much nicer.

BTW, I got a wave from a WRX wagon in Fortuna earlier...yellow tinted fogs, not much else to note. Anyone know who it was?

Nope. The only time I venture that far south is when I'm headed back to the Bay.
