Im hoping when the head mates back to the block, the little issue will be resolved. S&H really only re-seated the valve and spring. Pulled good vacuum after S&H reinstalled the pieces.
Yo booth, ill call you.

I will post the results from all this labor once i get the car back down south & bryan taking another look at it. Right now we're just gonna throw on my crucial springs, and flush the system completely. On top of putting the motor back together.
Good hearing from ya dylan.
Come by Jeremiahs whenever, or call me 707-362-2796

I guess sometimes with a lot of heat in these motors the guy @ S&H said that the valve seats will go out of round a little and with time they can actually fix them self. Idk if that is really what happened but we are no longer leaking on those valves seals like before. Well Jay is here so I guess I better get my day started. Call me up Seranin and I can fill you in on what was going on.

Got a lot done today. Head, intake manifold, and exhaust manifold are on, still need to torque them all to spec though. The exhaust cam sprocket is giving us hell. We don't have the right belt tensioner release tool so we are trying to get by w/o it and I just don't think it is going to work unless we have the right tool.
Anyways we got further today than we thought we would so that is great. Hopefully two more days of working on it and it will be running. I still think now it would have been easier to pull the entire motor. Oh well hind sight is 20/20.

Yes. get it.
I have a feeling there is more to this than we can see. The improvised tool is threading in fine, but the tensioer is not responding. It would be great to get the damned timing belt cover off and see what is going on. I really hope the timing belt did not skip any teeth on the lower pulleys....

255x40x18?
Ya that tensioner tool is tricky. You really cannot force it. The adjustment range is before you hit that wall. That is why I did not think the tool was the culprit, but I was thinking that the belt moved around a little below the tensioner.
Anyway, I will drop by when I am in town today.

I went with 17"s imo they are the perfect size for our car. I went 17X9 and I am stretching my 235/45/17 T1R's
My car will look similar to this one
