I used Duplicolor Caliper Paint, with a duplicolor Lacquer regular clear coat.
J used VHT, which can be found at Evergreen Auto among other places. Evergreen is on the left immediately after the 90 degree right on Broadway in Eureka (right after Mikes and Porter St BBQ).
Just remember to prep, prep, and PREP. Sand the current coating so it is clean and smooth. All the paint does not have to come off...in fact, it is better to leave it on. You just want to give the new paint some help sticking. Then, use Lacquer thinner to clean off all the remaining dust and crap. An old tooth brush and some rags helps for this. Remember to use gloves!!
After that, seal off anything you do not want painted. If you are painting while the calipers are still on the car, ensure all bleeder screws, pads, rotors, and the car are covered.
Follow the instructions for application and frequency of application. Most lacquers require multiple coats within a short period of each other, or with a long time in between. You can usually apply a lacquer clear coat within a short period of time as well.
DO NOT mix types of paint (enamels and lacquers) and make sure all parts are dry and well cleaned.
Above all, ensure you have a clean and dry environment, and TAKE YOUR TIME!!!
